REV2 Board: Install and Map Configuration

REV2 Board - Map Configuration in bootmod3 Map Editor

REV2 Board can be configured in the DME map to set activation flags under REV2 → Configuration → Activation. Each of the outputs can be set to a 0 (unused/disconnected) or 1 (used/connected). This provides a convenient way to disable any given output even though tables for it may already be calibrated. Screenshot below:

Generally none of these settings should be changed. Changing them can cause unpredictable results and we strongly advise not changing any values here except:

  • REV2 Board Activation

    • Set to 0 if no REV2 Board is installed. This will disable all fail-safeties that are REV2 board related.

    • Set to 1 if REV2 Board is installed.

  • DME Driver Setup - Boost Solenoid (FlexRay or EWG Direct PWM)

    • This table configures the DME output to use to control the pneumatic Mac Solenoid connected to the EBCS (Electronic Boost Control Solenoid) REV2 output connector

    • Description the table is as below.

      • Setting a value of 1 will tell the DME to use DirectPWM output from the Bank 1 EWG (Electronic Wastegate) connector to transmit duty cycle to the REV2 which in turn pulses the Mac Solenoid.

      • Setting a value of 0 will tell the DME to use a FlexRay message to send duty cycle to the REV2 which in turn pulses the Mac Solenoid.

        • NOTE: FlexRay Message Activation table needs to be set to 1 to enable FlexRay based outputs.

      • Recommended: Use 1 for DirectPWM on the EWG Connector. DME will pulse the mac solenoid directly through the REV2 Board without use of any communication protocol.

  • DME Driver Setup - PI Injector Duty Cycle (FlexRay or Ex. Flap Direct PWM)

    • This table configures the DME output to use to control the secondary port injectors connected to the REV2 injector harness

    • Description the table is as below.

      • Setting a value of 1 will tell the DME to use DirectPWM output from the Exhaust Flap connector (passenger side on S58, driver’s side on B58) to transmit injector duty cycle to the REV2 which in turn pulses the injectors in a sequential manner

      • Setting a value of 0 will tell the DME to use a FlexRay message to send injector duty cycle to the REV2 which in turn pulses the injectors in a sequential manner.

        • NOTE: FlexRay Message Activation table needs to be set to 1 to enable FlexRay based outputs.

      • Recommended: Use 1 for DirectPWM on the Ex. Flap Connector. DME will pulse the secondary fuel injectors directly through the REV2 Board without use of any communication protocol.

  • WARNING: Signal Invert tables should be left at their default values.

    • Changing these settings will invert signal on your DirectPWM output connector which will cause potential engine failure due to overboost and overfueling:

      • Boost Solenoid Signal Invert - Leave it at 1

      • PI Injector Duty Cycle Signal Invert - Leave it at 0
