Question: How do I transfer my license to another user?

License transfers are only available to the original purchaser of the software and may be completed one time only.

Previously purchased OTS Bundles, individual OTS maps, and custom maps are not transferable.

To be eligible for a license transfer, the software must first be fully uninstalled from the original vehicle by following the steps below.

*** If the uninstall is not completed by the original buyer, the license cannot be transferred, no exceptions.

Here are the steps to follow to transfer your bootmod3 license:

 

  1. Open the bootmod3 app on your laptop or phone.

  2. Log in to the account linked to the VIN for the license you wish to transfer.

  3. Navigate to My Maps and select the Stock Tune. Make sure the stock tune is downloaded.

  4. Tap the Flash button and choose the RE-LOCK DME option, as shown in the image below.

  5. Once the stock tune has been successfully flashed, go to the Vehicle screen and tap/click on Active License. On a phone, you will have to tap on the beside the VIN.

  6. Click/Tap on the Transfer button as shown. 

  7. Enter the recipient’s email address, their full VIN, and agree to the Transfer Terms. Then click YES, TRANSFER MY LICENSE. 

  8. A confirmation screen will pop up before completing the transfer. (see below).

  9. Once the license transfer is complete, you will be automatically logged out of the app. This confirms that the transfer was successful.
