bootmod3 map editor export bin file
The bootmod3 map editor provides tuners with access to thousands of tables that can be adjusted to meet a user's specific tuning request.
Some tuners prefer using alternative map editors like WinOLS, TunerPro, and others. These can still be utilized by exporting the tune request's bin file, making the necessary adjustments in the chosen map editor, and then releasing the tune using the bootmod3 map editor.
The following screenshots demonstrate this process:
Open the tune tune request:
Click on ‘File’:
Go to Export and select ‘Stock RAW bin for XXXXXXXX ROM’. This will download the binary file which for this specific tune request.
After you’ve made your changes in the map editor of choice, you have to go back to the map editor, click on ‘File’ and then ‘Release Tune Request with BIN file’:
Click on ‘Tap here to browse’ and select the tune made that was made based on the exported bin file:
Once the tune has been selected, on the bottom right corner, click on ‘Release bin for flash’. This will allow the user to flash the custom tune:
After ‘Release bin for flash’ has been selected, this message will show:
After successfully uploading the tune, you can load your modifications into the bootmod3 map editor if you wish to continue making further adjustments within the bootmod3 platform:
